Bach Sonata No. 1 Violin Sound Sample, French Violin
Excerpt is from the Bach Sonata #1 in G minor (Bach Sonatas and Partitas). The violin is a very fine antique instrument made in the mid 19th century in Paris, France. One of the most beautiful instruments I’ve ever. At the end of the video, I tried to show the amazing micromosaic mother of pearl inlays in the double purfling outer band.

The sound is much clearer. Lol, the other video had more warmth. Both violins are amazing in tone, don’t get me wrong. You are very lucky to be able to sample these instruments. Plus, it makes it more special that u and ur brother are extremely talented! Viel Glück to you both!

glad you liked it…i’ve always felt the same way about the sonatas and partitas…definately spiritual. bach’s head was in a special place when he did them, i think…i just hope he isn’t somewhere listening to me play them (and suffering my playing)

oh you should see this violin…it is a work of art!!! mother of pearl diamond shaped micromosaics embedded in a wide band of ebony (it has double purfling as well)…the mop flashes reds, blues and greens like little jewels when you play it…its awsome
