Should I get a King Tempo trombone?
I’ve been playing for 16 years, and was looking to buy an intermediate to professional open wrap F trigger trombone, with a rose bell. Anyway, I went searching today, and found a vintage King Tempo with a silver bell (looks nice!), and no F attachment. It plays well, though, and it’s only $400 though. Is this a deal, or should I keep looking?!

Caring for a Vintage trombone?
I’ve bought a lovely 1924 Elkhart tenor trombone (as good as a King 2B, but for a tenth of the price), and love playing it, but most of the lacquer on the outer slide, and on the places where you hold the horn has worn away. Do I need to get the horn overhauled? What precautions should I take when playing to prevent causing damage to the instrument? I don’t want to cause it any harm…. it’s the nicest trombone I’ve ever played!
