Should I get a King Tempo trombone?

vintage trombone

I’ve been playing for 16 years, and was looking to buy an intermediate to professional open wrap F trigger trombone, with a rose bell. Anyway, I went searching today, and found a vintage King Tempo with a silver bell (looks nice!), and no F attachment. It plays well, though, and it’s only $400 though. Is this a deal, or should I keep looking?!

Thanks!

i played a 3b with a silver bell in high school, it always played brighter than my friends standard 3b (both had f attachments).

check the metalurgy of the slides. if it is old nickel plating, it may not move as free as modern stuff.

personally, if i had the cash, i would go after an earl williams horn! i actually have a williams 6 and love it!
